The Alabama Crimson Tide are fresh off a big Rose Bowl win over Notre Dame. Now, they’ll prepare for a Jan. 11 showdown against Ohio State with a title on the line.
They’ll also reportedly be losing their talented offensive coordinator, Steve Sarkisian. Per reports, Sarkisian is expected to be named the new head coach at Texas.
On Saturday afternoon, AL.com’s Matt Zenitz tweeted that his sources told him Saban confirmed the news during a team meeting, saying Sark would remain on staff through the national title game:
Sources: Nick Saban confirmed during an Alabama team meeting that Steve Sarkisian is headed to Texas.
Sarkisian will remain with Alabama through the national title game.

Sarkisian’s offense was one of the nation’s best this year, with 3 of the top 5 Heisman vote-getters in QB Mac Jones, RB Najee Harris and WR DeVonta Smith (the favorite to win the trophy).
Can he get the Tide one last victory before heading off to Austin?
