New rumor suggests Final Fantasy 7 Remake coming simultaneously to PC and PS5 – DSOGaming

A new rumor surfaced last week regarding the rumored PC version of Final Fantasy 7 Remake. According to Resetera’s member KatharsisT, who is a well-known leaker, Square Enix plans to announce and release the PC version of Final Fantasy 7 Remake, alongside the PS5 version, in 2021.

As KatharsisT wrote:

“I just know that SE plan to announce the PS5 version along the PC one this year.”

This falls in line with everything we’ve heard so far about Final Fantasy 7 Remake PC, which is why we’re posting it. In December 2019, Square Enix and Sony hinted at a timed-exclusive deal regarding Final Fantasy VII Remake.

Then, in January 2020, the Final Fantasy 7 Remake demo leaked some PC code. The game’s demo had references to AMD, NVIDIA and higher resolutions. And in April 2020, the official Final Fantasy VII Remake trailer included PC gameplay footage.

This of course does not surprise us. Still, we are kind of wondering whether Square Enix will add support for Ray Tracing and DLSS in the PC version. Final Fantasy XV supported DLSS, so it is a possibility.

Stay tuned for more!
