Black Ops Cold War Fans Are Getting Sick of the Game 4 – Gaming INTEL

Black Ops Cold War fans seem to be getting sick of the current state of the game, despite a recent major update.

The latest installment in the Call of Duty franchise is certainly a divisive one, and fans are largely unhappy. Modern Warfare fans, by and large, appear to view Black Ops Cold War as a downgrade from the previous title.

Meanwhile, there are major complaints about Black Ops Cold War’s SBMM implementation and lack of content that are holding the game back.

Despite Black Ops Cold War being the best-selling game of 2020, it seems that some fans are now getting sick of playing. And this could spell disaster for Call of Duty 2021.

Black Ops Cold War Players Have Had Enough

If you’ve ever taken a trip to the Black Ops Cold War subreddit, you’ll know it’s a forum that’s full of more than a few complaints. It seems that Black Ops Cold War fans have had enough of Treyarch’s latest title, after only two months of gameplay.

This is particularly troubling given that Call of Duty games are designed to have a year-long lifespan.

Right now, the Modern Warfare player count is still astoundingly high, and it’s probably because many fans won’t make the switch. And even those that do aren’t always happy about it.

In a few recent threads on Reddit, users are complaining heavily about the state of Black Ops Cold War.

“I’ve been playing and this game feels like it’s sucking the soul out of me. 3 days worth in mp and it’s the same repetitive thing of rushing to a headglitch,” claims one Reddit user. “And if that’s not bad enough if i do two well the game thinks I’m the next Scump to which the [SBMM] comes to suplex me into these sweaty lobbies where all I see are CDL skins sitting in the corner high off of G-Fuel and adderall.”

Of course, Reddit as a whole tends to thrive off negativity, and there are many thousands of fans likely enjoying Cold War too.

But it’s clear that several of the game’s more dedicated players are becoming vocal about their distaste.

Another Reddit user asks their fellow players whether anyone is actually enjoying Black Ops Cold War.

“I tried to give this game a chance when all my friends told me how dog shit it was but I didn’t want to back down… Roll on January 2021 and I really struggle to play one game of multiplayer, I don’t know what it is but I just can’t play this sweatfest of a game now.”

It seems that a large portion of players’ complaints stem from Black Ops Cold War’s Skill-Based Matchmaking. Other users have issues with weapon balance or lack of content, but SBMM is by far the biggest factor.

How to Enjoy Black Ops Cold War in 2021?

Some commenters have a solution for those that aren’t enjoying Black Ops Cold War. If you’re finding that you keep dying to ‘sweaty’ lobbies full of players wielding top-tier guns, Hardcore is the mode for you.

Not only does Hardcore make the game far more realistic, it makes almost every weapon viable in matchmaking. What’s more, it may be a breath of fresh air for players who don’t enjoy Cold War’s Time To Kill.

Other players report that Black Ops Cold War Zombies is the best part of the game. However, we’ll have to wait another month for the second Black Ops Cold War Zombies map.

Here’s everything we know about Firebase Z in Cold War.

For those upset by Black Ops Cold War’s lack of content, you won’t have to wait long for more. After all, Cold War Season 1 Reloaded is bringing a new map and even more ways to play.

And new leaked content reveals Black Ops Cold War has more Field Upgrades on the way too.
