LEGO Pays Homage to the Iconic Porsche 911 Turbo and Targa With Latest Two-in-One Set – HYPEBEAST

LEGO has once again captured the hearts of car enthusiasts everywhere with the release of its new automotive set. The company is officially unveiling a two-in-one Porsche 911 Turbo and 911 Targa, bringing together two of the most iconic models from the 1970s and 1980s.

LEGO builders and car fanatics alike are sure to feel a sense of nostalgia with the 911 Turbo and 911 Targa build. The models are meticulously detailed, channeling the essence of the ubiquitous German sports car. Both Porsches feature all the hallmarks of their original make-up, including the aerodynamic shoulder line to the sculpted bonnet with the easily spotted Porsche emblem, rear-mounted flat-six Boxer engine, and angled headlamps.

The two-in-one model allows builders to choose between the classic coupe or convertible style by either adding the fixed roof for the 911 Turbo model or the open-roofed 911 Targa at one time. Both renditions still maintain their elegant silhouettes and timeless interiors. The 2+2 sports seats and dashboard are constructed in dark orange and nougat color scheme, almost entirely mirroring the noteworthy contemporary upholstery options of the legendary Porsche 911.

The interior is also something to marvel at, featuring a handbrake, gearshift, and functional steering. Continuing to add to its realistic attributes, the front seats tilt forward so that the rear bench seat can be accessed.

To ensure that the 911 Turbo and Targa are easily identifiable, the set comes with model-distinctive variants. The 911 Turbo sports a differentiating Turbo badging, turbocharger, intercooler and wide rear axle, completed with an integrated rear spoiler. As for the 911 Targa, the Targa Bar highlights the model, along with its badging and brick-built wrap-around rear window.

LEGO VIP members can purchase the set from February 16, while others will have to wait until March 1. The LEGO Porsche 911 Turbo and 911 Targa is priced at $149.99 USD and available at LEGO.
