There had been some speculation that, with coronavirus ongoing, Sony may choose to wait until next year to bring its flagship baseball simulation to non-PlayStation platforms – but leaked MLB The Show 21 box art appears to confirm that’s not the case. Here we see images of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox One versions, complete with full PlayStation Studios branding. This will, er, take some getting used to.
This year’s cover focuses, perhaps unsurprisingly, on San Diego Padres shortstop Fernando Tatís Jr, who made his MLB debut a couple of years ago. There are no further details at the moment, but we do know a full reveal is planned for February. It’s also likely there will be Nintendo Switch and PC versions available at launch – bonkers times, eh?
