Entering the 2020-21 NBA season, the Portland Trail Blazers had a ton of expectations and were expected to be a team that competes for the top-seed in the Western Conference. While they still have the potential to be a great team and potentially make a run in the postseason, injuries have crippled their chances for success early on in the season.

Zach Collins is expected to be out for the year with an ankle injury, CJ McCollum is still out with a broken foot and starting center Jusef Nurkic is out for a few more weeks with a broken wrist. This team just cannot catch a break with injuries this year, which has led them to a 16-10 record at this point in the year.

Because of all their problems in their frontcourt, Portland currently ranks 16th in the NBA in rebounding and could possibly look to add another frontcourt player near the NBA trade deadline. Enes Kanter has been great for the Blazers, stepping up into a bigger role with Nurkic being out, but they are going to need another reliable option to lean on for production.

While he does come at an expensive cost, Andre Drummond could be a perfect fit in Portland next to Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum. This team needs immediate production if they are to be true title contenders this season and by acquiring the former All-Star center, they would vastly improve their chances of winning a title?

So how can Portland possibly get this trade done? Let’s take a look at what a potential Cavaliers and Blazers trading involving Andre Drummond would look like.
