The Steelers sold their soul for Ben Roethlisberger:
“They knew he was a bad practice player and not committed in the offseason… But he was so talented that they appeased him and let him get away with it. Now they’re trapped.” — @ColinCowherd pic.twitter.com/u8qNp5gt3A

Sports radio and TV personality Colin Cowherd never holds back when it comes to the Pittsburgh Steelers. In his latest tirade against the Steelers Cowherd went squarely at quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and his preparation and philosophy and how it relates to the problem the Steelers are in.
Cowherd even went so far as to say the Steelers sold their soul for Roethlisberger. He called out his lack of offseason preparation, poor practice habits, the simplified offense Pittsburgh runs and his inability to work with top talent.
Harsh words and the first time I listened to them, I wasn’t a bit happy. But after unpacking all of what Cowherd said, maybe he isn’t so far off. This team has always gone as far as Roethlisberger will take them, and in the last 10 years that hasn’t been to the Super Bowl. It might be time for Pittsburgh to pull off the band-aid so to speak and reboot this franchise.
