“J.J. Wattch” is on and Buffalo Bills and Cleveland Browns fans are looking for clues every time J.J. Watt says or does something on social media in regards to where he will be playing next.
On Saturday morning, Watt tweeted a photo that seemed to show him settling in for a relaxing Saturday.
Some members of the Bills Mafia and the Browns fan base, however, were having none of that explanation. The tweet was full of clues.
To Browns fans, the dogs were clearly a nod to the “Dawg Pound,” Cleveland’s fan base.
Another Browns fan noted that the dog on the right gave a subtle hint.
“Orange with just a white stripe down the middle,” wrote Twitter user EthanTabor5. “Nice hint! See you in Cleveland.”
The Bills Mafia, however, noted all of the blue and red in the photo.
“I mean, those blue flowers were deliberately picked, the photo shot at just the right moment to capture the blue and red tv screen, and even the candle and the reflection of jar next to it are blue and red,” said Twitter user Buffalo Beth. “This is so obvious.”
Bills and Browns fans are both excited about the possibility of adding the pass-rusher. Cleveland.com’s Mary Kay Cabot reported that Watt was “seriously considering” the Browns as they have everything he is looking for from his next team.
The Bills are also in the Watt sweepstakes as well as Kimberley Martin of ESPN reported that there is mutual interest between Buffalo and Watt.
Is Watt slow playing his announcement on his next team or are his social media posts just strange coincidences? Time will tell, but Bills fans certainly noticed his red, white and blue cleats being featured in a recent Instagram story and his anniversary message to his wife, soccer star Kealia Watt, certainly captured the Bills Mafia’s attention. Watt shared a video of his wife eating chicken wings, a Buffalo staple, before their wedding and posted red and blue hearts in the post as well.
Until Watt makes his official announcement, look for Bills and Browns fans to continue looking for signs and clues in every social media post made by the pass-rusher.
