Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry is just like you and me. Assuming you’ve done at least one Zoom call during the pandemic from your bed at home.

The face of the Warriors did his canned ESPN pre-game interview on Sunday evening ahead of the Warriors-Lakers primetime affair with Jorge Sedano from what appeared to be his bed. Pillows and a really fancy-looking wooden headboard were both in full view during Curry’s pre-game chat about the streaking Dubs.

While lounging in a comfy hoodie, Steph chatted about everything from the Warriors trying to find their team identity to being thankful he’s healthy after missing 58 games with a broken left hand last season. (“That’s the most time I’ve been away from the game,” he said. “… I’ve missed it.”)

Curry also had praise for Draymond Green, whom he called the best defensive player in the NBA just after Green was showered with backhanded compliments by both Jalen Rose and Jay Williams during ESPN’s “NBA Countdown” pre-game show. “I think he’s just been wanting basketball to be the only thing he has to worry about,” Curry said of his longtime teammate. “You just see the way he’s dominating the game on both ends.”

The Dubs sharpshooter, currently No. 3 in the NBA in scoring, capped the interview by hammering the issue of food insecurity and his Eat Learn Play foundation’s attempt to combat it. Since COVID-19 first hit in the United States, Curry’s foundation has provided 16 million free meals to Bay Area families in need.
