Prior to Nate Solder restructure, Giants were down to $2.3M in cap space – Giants Wire

Field Yates of the NFL Network has posted an ‘updated’ listing of all 32 NFL teams’ available cap space. The New York Giants are $2.324 million under the cap but that does not reflect the Nate Solder restructure.

The figures on Solder’s restructure have not been divulged on that deal as of yet. The Giants have until March 17 at 4:00 p.m. EDT to set their final cap space number.

Big Blue would like to go shopping in this interesting free agent market and land a big ticket player, perhaps at wide receiver or pass rusher. But if they can’t, Giant fans would be happy with them bringing back Dalvin Tomlinson on a new deal, but even he may be too rich for their blood. That being said, its difficult to determine what their final figure is going to be until we know what Solder’s 2020 number is.

As you can see there are a glut of teams way over the cap or teetering near the $182.5 million cap number set by the league. With their 2020 carryover figure, the Giants’ cap for this year is around $185.5 million.
