Iowa State to part ways with coach Steve Prohm – KCCI Des Moines

After much speculation, Iowa State University announced Monday that it will part ways with Cyclone men’s basketball head coach Steve Prohm. According to a news release, Director of Athletics Jamie Pollard met with Prohm in person Monday to discuss the separation. The Cyclones finished the 2020-2021 basketball season 2-22 and were not selected to participate in the NCAA men’s basketball tournament. Prohm leaves the Cyclones with a 97-95 record in six seasons with the team.The university said the search for Prohm’s replacement will begin immediately. Prohm is expected to provide additional comments on his departure on Tuesday.
