Jets Agree to Terms With Corey Davis – Gang Green Nation

The Jets have reportedly agreed to terms with former Titans wide receiver Corey Davis.

After a relatively quiet first few hours of free agency left much of the Jets fanbase unhappy, Davis represents the first major addition of the offseason.

Davis was picked by the Titans fifth overall in 2017, one slot ahead of where the Jets picked Jamal Adams. While his career got off to a bit of a slow start, he had the finest season of his career in 2020, posting 65 catches for 984 yards, and 5 touchdowns.

My initial thought is that this seems like a really solid deal for the Jets on paper. Davis should be a big upgrade at a position of major need. We don’t know who the quarterback will be, but that player should be helped by Davis being around.

We will have more in the days ahead.

In the meantime I will appreciate the Jets for making this move literally minutes after I wrote an article about how slow the first day of free agency had been.
