Indiana sophomore Trayce Jackson-Davis will return to Indiana for his junior season, he announced on Friday afternoon.
“Indiana basketball is something that I have been blessed to be a part of. After talking with Coach Woodson and family, I believe that it is in my best interest to come back for my junior year,” Jackson-Davis said in his statement. “Hoosier Nation has been down for awhile now and I want to be a part of the change that make it great again. One last go around with the candy stripes. Let’s get to work!”

As a sophomore, Jackson-Davis averaged 19.1 points and nine rebounds per game.
The 6-foot-9 forward was named third team All-American last season by The Sporting News, NABC and USBWA. He was an honorable mention All-American by The Associated Press.
Jackson-Davis was also named first team All-Big Ten by the media and Associated Press and second team All-Big Ten by the league’s coaches.
The Center Grove product started all 27 games last season and was the only player from a power conference to average more than 19 points and nine rebounds per game. He was fourth in the Big Ten in scoring, second in rebounding, fifth in field goal percentage and blocked shots and third in minutes played per game.
His return is a major win for Mike Woodson as he builds his roster for the 2021-22 season in Bloomington.
As of Friday afternoon, Indiana still has four players in the transfer portal: Khristian Lander, Jordan Geronimo, Race Thompson and Armaan Franklin.
