Mike Tomlin has inked a three year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers. While some fans are critical of the extension, it looks like the majority of Steelers players couldn’t be more excited to have their head coach locked up long term. Some of those players brought their excitement to social media and shared their thoughts with the masses. Below are some of the best reactions amongst Steelers players.
Steelers corner, Joe Haden is obviously one of the most excited players by the news. After all Haden took less money to join the Steelers after his Browns release to specifically play for Coach Tomlin. Going as far as saying Tomlin is his favorite coach ever.
Eric Ebron is another player that took less money to play for the Steelers, and also shared his excited of the signing by posting this classic picture from last year’s training camp.
Minkah Fitzpatrick is another player who wanted to play for Coach Tomlin from the get-go, and couldn’t have been more excited when the Steelers traded for him back in 2019.
From guys who are called skill players to the big fellas lining up in the trenches. Guys are excited that the Steelers general isn’t going anywhere anytime soon
Mike T! Congrats brother. So glad the real football people in Pittsburgh make the decision on who they’re coach will be. 14 seasons, no losing seasons, & a Super Bowl champion!! Love it coach @CoachTomlin. Couldn’t be happier

Even some former Steelers got into the mix. By all means it appears that everyone that has played for coach Tomlin, respects coach Tomlin. Even guys from outside the organization like LeSean McCoy and Tory Holt have shared their excitement online.
Players including T.J. Watt, Chris Wormley, Robert Spillane, Ulysses Gilbert, Rashaad Coward, Josh Dobbs, Cam Sutton, Justin Layne, and so many other have liked, retweeted, or commented on the Steelers news. Clearly this is a big day for the guys in the locker room, and Steelers fans should share in their excitement.
