The Texas Rangers scored six runs and the Anaheim Angels scored one run.
Player of the Game: Joey Gallo blasting a dong wasn’t even the big news of the game as Nick Solak is now the team leader in homers with seven after hitting two solo shots tonight.
Solak went 3-for-4 with a couple of RBI and three runs scored and is now hitting a robust 307/.390/.568 on the year. Solak’s success can be counted as one of the bright spots of the season thus far.
And, yes, Gallo still even reached via a walk tonight.
Up Next: The Rangers and Angels play a rubber match in tomorrow night’s finale with RHP Dane Dunning set to start for Texas against RHP Alex Cobb for Anaheim. Wednesday’s first pitch from The Shed is scheduled for 7:05 pm CT.
