Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Contest: Win an Xbox Series X by unlocking achievements – TrueAchievements

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can win an Xbox Series X simply by unlocking achievements in select Game Pass Zombie-themed titles.
A new Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Contest has started appearing on Xbox users’ dashboards for players in the US, UK, Australia, New Zealand and Ireland. Microsoft will be awarding the top 5 Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members with the most achievement Gamerscore earned from titles included in the “Zombie collection” for the month of May. To be in with a chance of winning a console, you need to be an Ultimate Game Pass subscriber located in one of the countries previously listed, play any of the games included in the Game Pass Zombie collection, and be “among the top 5 in total achievement earners for the month.”

There are numerous easy games on the list above, which, if you haven’t completed them already, should give you a nice running start. The numerous Walking Dead Telltale games all offer 1,000 Gamerscore each and are a breeze to complete. Doom 64 has an estimated completion time of one to two hours, offering up another 1,000G, and DayZ can now be completed in under two hours thanks to a new achievement server. Minecraft also offers a substantial 2,600 Gamerscore from a whopping 111 achievements that can be unlocked using the Minecraft Ultimate Achievement World.

The official rules note that only achievements unlocked on an Xbox One, Xbox One S, Xbox One X, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S count. In the event of a tie, the player who “achieved the highest score first” will be awarded the console.

Unfortunately, much like previous Ultimate Contests, Microsoft hasn’t set up any sort of leaderboard system (as far as we know) where participants can see their standing in the competition, so it looks like you’ll just have to track your own progress and hope for the best.

The Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Contest runs from 12:01 pm PT on May 1st until 11:59 pm PT on May 31st. Good luck!
