Celtics vs. Nets score: Live NBA playoff updates as Kevin Durant, Brooklyn go for 2-0 lead vs. Boston – CBSSports.com

After a sluggish start to the series, the Brooklyn Nets looked like the dominant team in Game 2 that most fans and pundits expected them to be after adding James Harden and Blake Griffin to a roster that already featured Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. Brooklyn jumped out to a 14 point lead after the first quarter of play at Barclays Center and never looked back as the Nets cruised to a 130-108 victory to take a 2-0 lead in their best-of-seven series.

Brooklyn received meaningful contributions from every player that took the floor on Tuesday night as their trio of All-Stars combined for 61 points, 19 rebounds and 18 assists. In addition to the impressive performance from Kevin Durant, James Harden and Kyrie Irving, Brooklyn received major contributions from the other two players in their starting lineup as Joe Harris knocked down seven 3-pointers en route to 25 points while Blake Griffin had an extremely efficient 11 points, four assists and three rebounds.

As good as things went for Brooklyn’s stars, the opposite could be said about the way that Boston’s most notable players performed. Jayson Tatum had another rough shooting night as he finished with nine points on just 3-for-12 shooting. Had Marcus Smart not gotten hot from beyond the arc during the third quarter, the final score of this game could have looked much worse.

With the win, the Nets take a 2-0 lead in their best-of-seven series. Now, the scene will shift to Boston as the Celtics will host Game 3 on Friday night with the opening tip scheduled for 8:30 p.m.
