Camas (Wash.) Union Top247 2022 receiver Tobias Merriweather announced his commitment to Notre Dame on Wednesday afternoon during a live broadcast on CBS Sports HQ.
The four-star Merriweather chose the Irish over Stanford. Other offers included Michigan, Nebraska, Tennessee and every other school in the Pac 12.
247Sports analysts Brandon Huffman and Steve Wiltfong think this is an excellent pickup for Brian Kelly and his staff. Notre Dame rose to No. 3 in the 247Sports Composite Team Recruiting Rankings with Merriweather in the fold.

The 6-foot-4, 180-pound Merriweather is tabbed by the Top247 as the nation’s No. 11 receiver and No. 75 prospect overall. He’ll play in the All-American Bowl and Polynesian All-American Bowl following his senior season.
Receiver is a big need for the Irish again this cycle as Kelly and his staff work to replenish a room that’s lost the likes of Equanimeous St. Brown, Miles Boykin, Chase Claypool, Javon McKinley and Ben Skowronek over the last few seasons.
