Nate Diaz is keeping his name in the mix following UFC 264’s main event clash between Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor.
Diaz (20-13) took to Twitter on Monday to fire jabs at both Poirier (28-6) and McGregor (22-6). The Stockton-native posted a clip from the aftermath of Diaz vs. McGregor 2, in which “The Notorious” one earned a majority decision in a five-round war.
McGregor praised Diaz as a “tough bast—d” and one of the Irishman’s coached added that Diaz is like “the f—king Terminator.”
“You should’ve already learned from this,” Diaz tweeted alongside the video.
Diaz then turned his attention to Poirier, posting a video of “The Diamond” recovering from hip surgery after a scheduled fight with Diaz never materialized.
“Don’t trip though, I’ll show you how to do it,” Diaz said, suggesting he can teach McGregor how to close the gap in his three-fight series with Poirier.
Diaz last fought Leon Edwards at UFC 263 on June 12 (watch highlights), losing a one-sided unanimous decision but nearly turning the tables in the closing moments of round five. Poirier beat McGregor for a second consecutive time via first-round technical knockout (TKO) due to an ankle injury at UFC 264 on July 10.
