The Braves continue to produce huge offensive outputs with the help of everyone in their lineup. The additions of Joc Pederson, Jorge Soler and Adam Duvall, along with the return of Travis d’Arnaud, have strengthened an Atlanta attack that is now among the best in the National League. Adding depth has certainly given more length to the lineup, but recent hot streaks from Ozzie Albies, Dansby Swanson, and Austin Riley have carried the Braves and given a glimpse at just how much power this team can produce when playing well.
All of these developments have helped to push Atlanta past New York and Philadelphia, as they now sit alone in first place. They also have the benefit of adding Eddie Rosario to the roster in the near future as the veteran outfield appears set to finish his rehab assignment at any time. His left-handed bat, along with Pederson’s, will help to give the Braves more pop against right-handed pitching.
The roster has already taken shape, but they grow closer to rounding out what should be their playoff roster should they reach that point. Rosario plus a couple additions to the pitching staff should greatly aid the club and position them perfectly for the stretch run. Buckle up, folks.
