Former Barcelona striker Thierry Henry has offered his thoughts on Lionel Messi’s move to Paris Saint-Germain and has a warning for the French side.
Messi has joined Mauricio Pochettino’s side on a free transfer and could link up with Kylian Mbappe and Neymar to from a fearsome looking attack.
Yet Henry says it’s not as simple as all that and that Pochettino must find the best balance to his side if they are to go on and achieve success.
“Balance is the most important thing. In a moment, we always talk about the best players, attacking, advancing. But there has to be a balance,” he said.
“We talk about the team in which I played at Barca (with Eto’o and Messi) but people forget we didn’t let in many goals. In general the teams that don’t let in many goals aren’t far from titles or Champions Leagues.
“When you have super human players it’s a bit easier but when I see how Paris are doing at the moment, they are letting in a few too many goals for me. It’s true, they’re missing players but the balance is the most important thing.”

Messi is not expected to debut with PSG until the end of the month, while rumors persist about Mbappe’s future. There is continued speculation the striker won’t sign a new deal with the Ligue 1 side and could move to Real Madrid this summer or next.
