At halftime against Seattle on Sunday, Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry had 35 yards on 13 rushing attempts and a 15-yard reception, and the Seahawks held a 24-9 lead.
Henry finished the NFL game with 182 yards and three touchdowns on 35 carries and six receptions for 55 yards, and Tennessee left Seattle with a 33-30 overtime victory.
Henry scored on a 9-yard run with 10:37 left in the third quarter, a 60-yard run with 12:17 left in the fourth quarter and a 1-yard run with 29 seconds left in the fourth quarter as Tennessee sent the game into overtime.
The Titans started their second overtime possession at the Seattle 39-yard line and used four consecutive handoffs to Henry to pick up 21 yards before the game-winning field goal with 4:45 left in the extra period.
Only LaDainian Tomlinson with four has more NFL games with at least 182 rushing yards and three rushing TDs than Henry, who reached those stats for the third time in his career. Jim Brown also had three such games.
Henry had at least 237 yards from scrimmage for the fourth game in his career. There have been five other such games in franchise history.
Henry became the sixth player in NFL history with at least seven TD runs of 60 or more yards. Adrian Peterson had 15, Brown nine, Chris Johnson and Barry Sanders eight apiece and Ahman Green seven.
Henry reached career highs for rushing attempts and receptions in Sunday’s game.
Henry was among the 48 former Alabama players who got on the field on the second Sunday of the NFL’s 102nd season.
Two other former Alabama players were at the Tennessee-Seattle game:
· Rashaan Evans (Auburn High) started at inside linebacker for the Titans. Evans made four tackles.
· Julio Jones (Foley) started at wide receiver for the Titans. Jones caught six passes for 128 yards, including a 51-yard reception, for his first 100-yard game with Tennessee after having 58 with the Atlanta Falcons. Jones is tied with Marvin Harrison for third on the NFL’s career list of 100-yard receiving games behind Jerry Rice’s 76 and Randy Moss’ 64. Sunday’s stats pushed Jones’ career numbers to 13,053 yards on 857 receptions. By reaching 13,000 receiving yards in 137 regular-season games, Jones got to the milestone faster than any other player in NFL history. At 154 games, Rice had been the record-holder.

New England Patriots 25, New York Jets 6
· Patriots defensive tackle Christian Barmore made three tackles in his second NFL game.
· Damien Harris started at running back for the Patriots. Harris ran for 62 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries and caught a 2-yard pass. Harris scored on a 26-yard run as New England took a 19-3 lead with 10:24 left in the third quarter.
· Dont’a Hightower started at linebacker for the Patriots. Hightower made six tackles and registered a quarterback hit.
· Patriots linebacker Anfernee Jennings (Dadeville) is on injured reserve.
· Mac Jones started at quarterback for the Patriots. Jones completed 22-of-30 passes for 186 yards with no touchdowns and no interceptions in his second NFL game.

· C.J. Mosley (Theodore) started at linebacker for the Jets. Mosley led New York with 10 tackles, and he broke up a pass.
· Jets center Ross Pierschbacher is on the practice squad and not eligible to play.
· Quinnen Williams (Wenonah) started at defensive tackle for the Jets. Williams made one tackle.
Denver Broncos 23, Jacksonville Jaguars 13
· Kareem Jackson started at strong safety for the Broncos. Jackson led Denver with six tackles and intercepted a pass. Jackson had a 7-yard return to the Denver 49 to start the Broncos on their way to a third-quarter field goal and a 20-7 lead. Jackson became the eighth player from Alabama with at least 20 NFL interceptions, joining Lee Roy Jordan (32), Don Hutson (30), Mike Washington (28), Mark McMillian (23), Russ Craft (22), Woodrow Lowe (21) and Deshea Townsend (21).
· Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy is on injured reserve.
· Jaguars linebacker Dylan Moses is on the non-football injury list.
· Cam Robinson started at left offensive tackle for the Jaguars.
· Broncos cornerback Saivion Smith is on the practice squad and not eligible to play.
· Patrick Surtain II started at cornerback for the Broncos. Surtain made four tackles and intercepted a pass in his first NFL start. Surtain intercepted a deep pass by Jacksonville QB Trevor Lawrence at the Denver 6-yard line in the fourth quarter.
Buffalo Bills 35, Miami Dolphins 0
· Dolphins defensive tackle Raekwon Davis is on injured reserve.
· Tua Tagovailoa started at quarterback for the Dolphins. Tagovailoa completed 1-of-4 passes for 13 yards with no touchdowns and no interceptions before leaving the game after two Miami possessions because of a rib injury.

· Jaylen Waddle started at wide receiver for the Dolphins. Waddle caught six passes for 48 yards.
· Levi Wallace started at cornerback for the Bills. Wallace made two tackles, intercepted a pass and broke up another pass. Wallace picked off a deep throw by Miami quarterback Jacoby Brissett and returned his fifth career interception 14 yards to the Buffalo 29-yard line with 1:56 left in the first quarter.
San Francisco 49ers 17, Philadelphia Eagles 11
· Eagles offensive lineman Landon Dickerson played but did not record any stats. Dickerson made his NFL debut in the game.
· Jalen Hurts started at quarterback for the Eagles. Hurts completed 12-of-23 passes for 190 yards with no touchdowns and no interceptions and ran for 82 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries. Hurts scored Philadelphia’s only touchdown on a 1-yard run to complete a five-play, 75-yard drive with 4:02 left in the game.

· Forty-Niners cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick (Gadsden City) played but did not record any stats. Kirkpatrick signed with San Francisco last week and appeared in his 10th NFL season by playing on Sunday.

· DeVonta Smith started at wide receiver for the Eagles. Smith caught two passes for 16 yards in his second NFL game.

· Rams outside linebacker Terrell Lewis made one tackle.
· A’Shawn Robinson started at defensive end for the Rams.
Las Vegas Raiders 26, Pittsburgh Steelers 17
· Steelers defensive end Isaiah Buggs played but did not record any stats.

· Raiders guard Lester Cotton (Central-Tuscaloosa) played in an NFL regular-season game for the first time since Dec. 22, 2019. Las Vegas elevated Cotton from its practice squad for the game.
· Kenyan Drake started at running back for the Raiders. Drake caught five passes for 46 yards and ran for 9 yards on seven carries.
· Minkah Fitzpatrick started at free safety for the Steelers. Fitzpatrick made six tackles.
· Najee Harris started at running back for the Steelers. Harris caught five passes for 43 yards and a touchdown and ran for 38 yards on 10 carries. In his second game, Harris scored his first NFL touchdown on a 25-yard reception as Pittsburgh narrowed Las Vegas’ lead to 16-14 with 11:15 left to play.

· Alex Leatherwood started at right offensive tackle for the Raiders. Leatherwood left the game because of an oblique injury.
· Henry Ruggs III (Lee-Montgomery) started at wide receiver for the Raiders. Ruggs caught five passes for 113 yards and one touchdown. In the second 100-yard game of his career, Ruggs caught a 61-yard touchdown pass as Las Vegas took a 23-14 lead with 9:35 remaining in the game. Ruggs also returned a kickoff 22 yards and had a 2-yard run.
· Raiders defensive tackle Damion Square was designated as a game-day inactive. Square signed with Las Vegas last week.
Chicago Bears 20, Cincinnati Bengals 17
· Eddie Jackson started at safety for the Bears. Jackson made four tackles, including one behind the line of scrimmage, and forced a fumble. Jackson knocked the football away from Cincinnati wide receiver Tee Higgins, and Chicago recovered at the Bengals 39-yard line. The takeaway turned into a field goal eight seconds into fourth quarter as the Bears took a 10-3 lead.
· Jonah Williams started at left offensive tackle for the Bengals.
· Bengals cornerback Tony Brown is on the practice squad and not eligible to play.
Cleveland Browns 31, Houston Texans 21
· Texans safety Shyheim Carter is on the practice squad and not eligible to play.
· Ronnie Harrison started at strong safety for the Browns. Harrison made seven tackles, including one behind the line of scrimmage.
· Mark Ingram started at running back for the Texans. Ingram ran for 41 yards on 14 carries and caught one pass that lost 1 yard.

· Mack Wilson (Carver-Montgomery) started at strongside linebacker for the Browns. Wilson made four tackles on defense and two on special teams.

· Dalvin Tomlinson started at defensive tackle for the Vikings. Tomlinson made one tackle.

· O.J. Howard (Autauga Academy) started at tight end for the Buccaneers. Howard caught a 21-yard pass.

· Calvin Ridley started at wide receiver for the Falcons. Ridley caught seven passes for 63 yards and one touchdown. Ridley scored on a 3-yard reception as Atlanta trimmed Tampa Bay’s lead to 28-17 with 6:35 left in the third quarter.
· Buccaneers long snapper Carson Tinker handled the snaps on seven extra points and four punts. Tinker played in an NFL regular-season game for the first time since Oct. 7, 2018.
Dallas Cowboys 20, Los Angeles Chargers 17
· Amari Cooper started at wide receiver for the Cowboys. Cooper caught three passes for 24 yards.
· Trevon Diggs started at right cornerback for the Cowboys. Diggs made six tackles and intercepted a pass. Diggs’ fifth NFL interception ended Los Angeles’ first possession as he came down with a Justin Herbert pass at the Dallas 20-yard line. Diggs also had an interception in last week’s season-opening game. He became the first Dallas player with an interception in each of the first two games of a season since Lee Roy Jordan, another former Alabama standout, did so in 1975.
· Cowboys wide receiver Robert Foster is on the practice squad and not eligible to play.
Baltimore Ravens 36, Kansas City Chiefs 35
· Anthony Averett started at left cornerback for the Ravens. Averett made four tackles on defense, broke up a pass and made one tackle on special teams. Averett’s pass breakup came on a third-and-9 throw to Kansas City All-Pro Tyreek Hill in the fourth quarter. After the Chiefs punted the ball to Baltimore, the Ravens scored a touchdown and a 2-point conversion for the winning margin.
· Bradley Bozeman (Handley) started at center for the Ravens.
· Chiefs wide receiver Gehrig Dieter is on the practice squad and not eligible to play.
· Chiefs running back Derrick Gore is on the practice squad and not eligible to play.
· Marlon Humphrey (Hoover) started at right cornerback for the Ravens. Humphrey made four tackles and broke up a pass.
· Jarran Reed started at defensive tackle for the Chiefs. Reed made two tackles.
· Ravens offensive tackle Andre Smith (Huffman) played but did not record any stats. Smith was elevated from the practice squad and appeared in his 12th NFL season by playing on Sunday. He joined Evan Mathis and John Hannah as the Alabama alumni who have played on the offensive line in at least 12 NFL seasons.
Week 2 kicked off with the Washington Football Team beating the New York Giants 30-29 on Thursday night. Defensive tackle Jonathan Allen recorded two sacks for Washington.
Week 2 concludes with the Detroit Lions-Green Bay Packers game at 7:15 p.m. CDT Monday at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin. ESPN and ESPN2 will televise the game.
