The second week of fantasy football has come and gone, and now it’s time to improve your team with waiver wire additions and trades. As much as everyone hopes they had the perfect draft, there are always opportunities to improve your team.

Week 2 was full of injuries, but most aren’t leading to waiver wire targets. Instead, the players to add are a combination of rookies who should have been on rosters all along and veterans who have a larger role than expected. The players to cut are largely younger players who needed a few things to go right to be fantasy starters this season, but so far, nothing has gone right.
The five to buy low are all early-round draft picks who could see substantial gains the rest of the season. The five to sell high all scored touchdowns this past week, but probably won’t see as good of fantasy performances going forward.

FIVE PLAYERS TO ADD
1. QB Justin Fields, Chicago Bears
Andy Dalton left Week 2 with a bone bruise, allowing Fields to play in the second half. It’s unclear exactly how long the former Cincinnati Bengal and Dallas Cowboy will miss, but Fields needs to be on fantasy rosters in all formats regardless. He has top-eight fantasy potential whenever he becomes the starter. He ranks sixth among quarterbacks in rushing attempts despite not playing a full NFL game yet. His fantasy points per dropback rank in the top half of the league and should only get better. Even if we find out Dalton can play in Week 3, Fields should get picked up for whenever he does become the starter.
