Seahawks at Vikings: Final injury reports for both teams – Daily Norseman

It’s Friday, and that means it’s time for the final injury reports for both the Minnesota Vikings and the Seattle Seahawks as we get closer to the 2021 home opener for the purple at U.S. Bank Stadium. Let’s take a look at both of the injury reports, starting with the visiting side.

The Seahawks have ruled three players out for Sunday’s contest, though I’m not sure how much of an impact any of their absences will have. Eskridge is an exciting young rookie, but he suffered a concussion in Week 1 and missed last week’s game as well. The Seahawks sprinkled some veteran rest days among some of their players as well, so those players weren’t included on our version of the injury report.

And now, on to the home team.

Three players declared “out” for the Vikings as well leading into this one. Mike Zimmer said he feels good about where Barr is at despite him missing his 17th straight game. Whatever. Darrisaw appears to be getting closer to finally being back, which will help bolster the offensive line.

The big one, obviously, is Dalvin Cook. It speaks to his importance that he had three “DNPs” this week and is still only listed as “questionable.” We’ve said all week that it seems like Mike Zimmer expects Cook to play this week, but this makes it appear as though he will be the dreaded “game-time decision” and the drama will stretch until the inactives come out 90 minutes before kickoff on Sunday.

Those are your final injury reports for the Vikings and the Seahawks heading into Sunday’s home opener in Minneapolis, folks. We’ll have more on this one as we get closer to kickoff.
