Today, Sony held a PlayStation October State of Play event revealing some beta announcements and brand new titles.
A few days ago, Sony announced what could be one of the last State of Plays of the year.
Last month, Sony held a big showcase event to present its first-party catalog.
PlayStation has returned once again to its usual presentation style, shifting its focus to third-party announcements.
The 20 minutes PlayStation State of Play showcased many upcoming titles for both PS4 and PS5.
Let’s talk about all the titles presented during the event!

In around 20 minutes, PlayStation presented several PS5 and PS4 games. These are the highlights of the event.
Deathverse: Let It Die Reveal

This arena-based melee brawler from GunHo Online Entertainment takes place in the universe of the 2016’s action-RPG roguelike Let It Die.
This game launches on both PS5 and PS4 in spring 2022.
The trailer presented the premise of the Deathverse event being a TV battle arena event of sorts.
One of the main mechanics presented is weapon crafting. Players defeated in a match are encouraged to craft a new weapon and join the fray once again.
There is a multitude of weapons, extending from electrical melee weapons to long-range gun-style weapons.
We are OFK Reveal
We are OFK releases on PS5 and PS4 in 2022.
This music biopic game is being developed by Team OFK and introduces the story of a band.
The title condenses the story of the indie-pop band OFK.
The adventure presented on this indie experience is composed of five chapters. Each of these chapters represents one of OFK’s debut tracks.
Gameplay involves dialogue choices and interactive music videos.
Bugsnax: The Isle of Bigsnax DLC
The team at Young Horses presented a free DLC coming to Bugsnax, The Isle of Bigsnax.
This upcoming DLC tracks the pre-historic species of Bugsnax. In detail, these new giant-sized Bugsnax have been discovered on an island that emerged from the ocean.
There is confirmation of at least twelve new species of Bugsnax living in the area.
As well, you will get a new tool to size down these new Bugsnax to catch them.
The Isle of Bigsnax will also feature cosmetic hats for your Bugsnax and house customization.
There is still no set date for this update, but it will release in 2022 on PS4, PS5, and PC.
Five Nights at Freddy’s Security Breach Gameplay Reveal
The October State of Play revealed Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach is coming to PS5 and PS4 on December 16.
The first-person survival horror FNAF universe received an extensive gameplay trailer. The trailer showcased many mechanics, such as stealth and allies.
Additionally, this trailer showed how other animatronics like Freddy Fazbear would serve as allies during your escape from Pizzaplex.
The preview showed many ways to divert enemies, such as distracting them with noises or stun weapons.
Overall, this was a good show of the game’s theme and atmosphere.
Death’s Door Coming to PS4 and PS5
Death’s Door is a pretty well-received RPG that launched on Xbox and PC Game Pass this year.
This Acid Nerve action-adventure RPG published by Devolver follows the story of a tiny soul reaper crow.
Death’s Door will be available on PS4 and PS5 on November 23.
Since its release, the game has been praised for its difficulty and gameplay design.
As well, gamers who pre-order the game will receive Titan Souls for free.
KartRider: Drift Closed Beta Announcement
KartRider Drift is a free-to-play racer coming to PS4 in 2022.
The game, especially this trailer, immediately gives you Mario Kart vibes.
Registrations for the closed beta are already open.
KartRider: Drift’s closed beta will begin on December 8th on PS4.
There is some time before the beta starts, but it is always a good idea to register with time.
King of Fighters XV Open Beta Announcement

The October State of Play continued with the beta announcements.
KOF XV will have its open beta on PS5 and PS4 from November 19th at 07:00 PM PST to November 22nd at 06:59 AM PST.
This beta includes eight playable characters. Additionally, the modes included will be online casual and room matches and offline training.
The game releases on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on February 17th, 2022.
First Class Trouble Reveal
First Class Trouble will be included in PS Plus free November line-up.
This game aims to be a social deception simulator in which humans try to survive rogue AIs, and AI simulates humans to get rid of them
Think of Among Us but with AI instead of alien impostors.
The game trailer shows a wide variety of cosmetics that you can utilize for your characters.
Personoids can sabotage systems to get rid of Residents of the space cruiser. As well, Residents can observe these weird behaviors and identify Personoids.
Overall, this is a “who can you trust” game.
Star Ocean The Divine Force Reveal
The Star Ocean franchise is getting a brand new title coming on 2022 on PS4 and PS5.
This franchise is now celebrating its 25th anniversary with a completely new entry.
The Divine Force will offer a choice-based story, open areas for flight and exploration, and fast-paced action.
Furthermore, the game centers its story around two protagonists and their perspectives and impact on the world.
Also, companion characters and the story itself will change according to the protagonist chosen by the player.
The game also promises the fastest action-driven gameplay on the series to date.
Little Devil Inside Extended Gameplay

The October 2021 State of Play ended with an extended gameplay trailer for Little Devil Inside.
This anticipated game is coming to PS5 and PS4 in 2022.
The extended gameplay focused on many survival mechanics present in the game.
Billy will need to be resourceful and ingenious to survive the world. Mechanics such as cooking and a food inventory were presented.
Additionally, the world map was presented. The game has a curious map overview mode in which you can travel and take specific actions.
Although, you can quickly transition to real-time third-person gameplay.
