Green Bay Packers: 4 bold predictions for Week 11 vs. Vikings – ClutchPoints

Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers are entering their Week 11 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings with an 8-2 record. In Week 10, they were able to shut out the Seattle Seahawks by a final score of 17-0 even though it wasn’t the prettiest game. With that said, we’ll be looking at the Packers-Vikings game with some bold predictions as Matt LaFleur’s men try to prove once again why they are legitimate Super Bowl favorites.

While the Packers have looked impressive so far this season, this week will pose a different challenge. Going up against an arch-rival is never an easy task and the history between the Vikings and Packers holds no love. Green Bay will have their work cut out for them, even though they are heavily favored on paper.

For more insight on the Packers’ Week 11 matchup against the Vikings, listen below:

For the Vikings, this is a chance to make a major statement to the rest of the NFL. Minnesota comes into this game with a 4-5 record and will be looking to prove that they should be viewed as a playoff-caliber football team.

Green Bay will be dealing with even more injury issues this week than they were last week. Aaron Jones will miss this game due to the MCL sprain that he suffered against the Seahawks, while Whitney Mercilus is expected to miss the rest of the season due to a biceps injury. Rashan Gary will try to play through an elbow injury, but no one knows whether or not he’ll be able to suit up.

All of that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at four bold predictions for the Packers as they take on the Vikings in Week 11 action.

Green Bay Packers Week 11 Predictions

4. The Packers force three turnovers

Over the last few weeks, the Packers’ defense has been proving that they are more than capable of being an elite unit. They were able to hold Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals to just 21 points in a crazy 24-21 win. After that, they held Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs to just 13 points, even without Rodgers on the field leading the offense.

Last week, Green Bay obviously dominated Russell Wilson and the Seahawks and didn’t allow a single point. To say that this defense is good would be an understatement.

This week, the Packers will face off against Kirk Cousins and a dangerous Vikings’ offense. Despite the challenge they are facing, we are predicting that Green Bay will force three turnovers. Two of those will be interceptions and the other will be a fumble.

3. A.J. Dillon will put up a massive performance

Next up, the Packers will be relying heavily on second-year running back A.J. Dillon in the backfield. Due to the knee injury suffered by Aaron Jones last week, Dillon is going to be the starter and the workhorse for Green Bay.

During the game against the Seahawks, Dillon showcased a lot of potential for the Packers. He carried the football 21 times for 66 yards and two touchdowns. Dillon also caught two passes for 62 yards, including a huge 50-yard reception in the fourth quarter.

Dillon will come through for the Packers this week with another big-time game. Green Bay will get 100 yards on the ground, while also seeing Dillon catch four passes for 35 yards.

2. Green Bay sees MVP Aaron Rodgers rise up

After missing the game against the Chiefs due to COVID-19, Rodgers came back against the Seahawks. He didn’t play a great game, and some fans are a bit concerned that the MVP level of play he exhibited last season is gone. Well, that simply is not the case and fans will get a first-hand look at MVP Rodgers this week.

Rodgers absolutely loves playing in rivalry games for the Packers. He has always enjoyed his time against the Bears, as well as the Vikings.

This week against the Vikings, Rodgers is going to put together his best performance of the season. We are predicting that Rodgers will throw for 325 yards and four touchdowns. Green Bay’s offense is far superior to the Vikings’ defense and that will be seen on full display.

1. Another dominant victory proves the Packers are for real once again

To all of the doubters that were hating on the Packers prior to the start of the 2021 NFL season, it has become clear that the team is not going to miss the playoffs. They aren’t going to finish outside of first place in the NFC North division race either.

With that in mind, this is the one game that could give the Vikings a chance to come back in the NFC North. Beating the Packers would improve them to 5-5, while Green Bay would drop to 8-3. That still wouldn’t give Minnesota much of a chance, but the critics’ case rests on this week’s game.

Green Bay is going to come through with another dominant victory. We are predicting that the Packers will win the game by a final score of 35-21. Assuming the Packers do win this game, they will silence the doubters for good and will prove once again that they should be viewed as a legitimate Super Bowl favorite.
