The idea of a Florida team heading to Massachusetts in a November contest doesn’t sound super appealing for the visiting squad from a weather perspective. Florida State is at Boston College at noon, yet the late-November contest won’t be quite as frigid as you’d expect.
The temperature at kickoff in Chestnut Hill is expected to be 44 degrees, and it will be sunny. Low wind and plenty of sunshine for the majority of the game, it sounds like Florida.
The weather won’t be much different than what FSU players have dealt with in recent weeks at practice. FSU has practiced in the mornings all season, and Tallahassee has been in the high 40s or low 50s at the start of practice the last few weeks.
“It’s been a little bit colder down here, but I don’t think that factor should be involved in the storyline,” said FSU OL Dillan Gibbons. “We’ve prepared every day just as we’ve been playing the game. Guys at practice haven’t been wearing sleeves and kind of sucking it up. It’s been 50 degrees here most days. It’s not going to be much different than down here in Tallahassee. The only difference is it’ll be in Boston.”
