No. 3 Alabama heads into Saturday’s Iron Bowl against Auburn as roughly a 20-point favorite. Kirk Herbstreit on ESPN’s “College GameDay” said there is “no shot of upset.”
With stand-up comedian and actor Sebastian Maniscalco on hand the college football pre-game show panel made it an Alabama sweep when picking games Saturday.
“Without (quarterback) Bo Nix, I can’t see Auburn’s offense pulling off the upset. I have to go Alabama,” Desmond Howard said.
Lee Corso couldn’t help but give a sneak peek into the future with his pick, insinuating that Alabama and Georgia will meet twice more by the end of the season.
“A big win for Alabama,” Corso explained. “Alabama needs a big win. They need it going into two Georgia games.”
Meanwhile, Herbstreit believes the Auburn coaching staff will have a little something for the Tide.
“Bryan Harsin will come up with some schemes and some looks that will give Alabama’s secondary fits,” he said. “Not having Bo Nix, there’s no shot of upset. I like Alabama to win the game, but I think Harsin will come up with a few tricks.
