Kaylee Gambadoro’s goodbye message to the Yankees sounds a bit different than fiancé Clint Frazier’s.
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, the future Mrs. Frazier expressed her gratitude for the Yankees community as the couple readies for their next chapter with the Chicago Cubs.
“To the Yankees community, Thank you for being so very kind and warm to me,” Gambadoro wrote on her Instagram Story. “I’ll forever be thankful for the support and relationships created with some of y’all.”
Frazier was designated for assignment by the Yankees last month and later released. He then agreed to a one-year deal with the Cubs.
The 26-year-old outfielder last played for the Yankees on June 30 due to undisclosed medical issues.
Earlier this week, Frazier expressed his excitement about joining the Cubs, joking on Twitter, “here’s to leaving my razor at home.” When a fan replied to his tweet, “I’m so glad this dude isn’t a Yankee anymore,” Frazier responded, “so am I,” with four laughing-face emojis.
“Me being happy I’m on the cubs has nothing to do with yankees fans,” Frazier said in a separate message. “It has to do with the fact that I’m happy to be able to play somewhere I’ll get a better chance at playing.”
Gambadoro, who announced her engagement to Frazier over the summer, is certainly ready to see her husband-to-be in a Cubs uniform. In fact, she also posted a photo Tuesday of Frazier’s new stripes would look like, courtesy of the Wrigley Report fan account.
“2022 is going to be your year,” she gushed on Instagram.
