At halftime of “Monday Night Football,” the Minnesota Vikings lead the division rival Chicago Bears 10-3.
The Vikings’ touchdown drive came on the third possession of the game, which they started on their own 46-yard line after a short punt. Justin Jefferson continued his dominance by converting two third downs on the drive, including a 12-yard touchdown to put his team ahead.
The Bears had two red-zone opportunities, but turned them into only three points. On the first, Sheldon Richardson stripped David Montgomery of the football to cut the drive short; and on the second, Justin Fields took a bad sack that set the Bears up behind the chains, and they ended up having to settled for a field goal. They were afforded another scoring opportunity late in the half when Kirk Cousins threw a seemingly inexplicable interception and gave Chicago a short field, but Cairo Stantos’ 49-yard field goal attempt was blocked by Dalvin Tomlinson.
Will the Vikings hang on and stay in the playoff race, or will the Bears stage a second-half comeback? We’ll find out soon enough. Keep it locked to our live blog throughout the rest of the evening as we update you with stats, scores, and highlights.
