Now that the Genshin Impact 2.4 stream is finished, we also know its release date. On January 5, 2022, the update will arrive. This will include a new area, new banners, a new Archon Quest interlude mission, and events like the 2022 Lantern Rite. There’s also a new trailer going over everything.
First, here’s the Genshin Impact 2.4 release date and overview trailer. It begins with a peek at the new Archon Quest. That involves Ninguang and her Jade Chamber. After that, there’s a hint at the Lantern Rite. It features peeks at Keqing, Hu Tao, and Xiao enjoying the event. From there, we can see new characters Yun Jun and Shenhe. Enkanomiya, the new region, and its enemies show up after that.
After the three minute mark, the trailer gets more specific about events. For example, the Lantern Rite’s Fleeting Colors in Flight fireworks event comes up. So does Eight Locales Over Mountains and Seas. Near the end, we get to see the new Hangout Series and outfits.
As a reminder, we already know the 2.4 banners too. The first phase will include the Shenhe and Yun Jin new banner and Xiao rerun. The second phase will offer the Ganyu and Zhongli rerun banners.
Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile devices. It will also come to the Nintendo Switch. The Genshin Impact 2.4 release date is January 5, 2022.
