As things get underway in Week 16, the Dallas Cowboys (11-4) are riding high off of the dismantling of the Washington Football Team, and for the second time in three weeks — rightfully so when you consider Dak Prescott and Co. finally showed the NFL what they are when they play a complete game. Enter Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals (10-5), who are crawling out of a December to forget that looked eerily similar mirrored that of the Cowboys in November — a 1-3 stretch that includes three consecutive losses that have knocked them from their long-standing pedestal atop the NFC.
As January gets underway, it’s the Cowboys sitting in the No. 2 playoff spot and hoping to steal the top seed away from the Green Bay Packers, but they’ll have to mow through the Cardinals at AT&T Stadium to help their case, while the Cardinals themselves desperately try to right their ship with the postseason only two weeks away. This game will have a playoff atmosphere as sparks fly from all sides, with so much on the line for both to close out the 2021 season.
