The 2022 NFL Draft is shaping up to be all about three teams: the New York Giants, New York Jets and Philadelphia Eagles.
All three could have multiple top-20 picks.
Here’s what Pro Football Network predicted in its latest first-round mock.
Jets
The Jets have a pair of first-round picks in 2022: their own, plus one from the Seattle Seahawks as part of the Jamal Adams trade.
4. DeMarvin Leal, DT, Texas A&M
Leal is a versatile lineman who presents challenges to smaller offensive linemen all the same as he causes problems for larger bodies along the opposing front five.
7. (from SEA) Andrew Booth Jr., CB, Clemson
Booth presents a ton of upside at the position as he just recently realized his full potential in a down year for the Tigers.
Giants
The Giants have a pair of first-round picks in 2022: their own, plus one from the Chicago Bears as part of the deal which sent Justin Fields to the Windy City and Kadarius Toney to the Big Apple.
5. George Karlaftis, EDGE, Purdue
With tremendous power to push tackles upfield, Karlaftis did his best against smaller offensive linemen during his career at Purdue.
8. (from Chicago) Matt Corral, QB, Ole Miss
Corral isn’t a sure thing, especially following his injury in the Sugar Bowl … but his upside is tremendous.
Eagles
The Eagles are sitting on three first-round picks: their own, plus one from the Miami Dolphins in the DeVonta Smith trade and one from the Indianapolis Colts in the Carson Wentz trade.
14. (from Miami) Derek Stingley Jr., CB, LSU
Stingley may have failed to realize the potential he put on tape in 2019, but his early selection only proves how good that 2019 season was.
19. Devin Lloyd, LB, Utah
The Utah product is a true walloper in the run game and presents incredible coverage skills.
21. (from Indianapolis) Trevor Penning, OT, Northern Iowa
Penning is a solid pass protector but even better blocking for the run.
