There’s 6 more characters coming this year too
The King of Fighters 15’s main roster is technically a wrap at 39 playable fighters, but there’s still plenty more excitement on the way.
SNK caught everyone by surprise tonight by announcing the complete identities of KOF15’s first 6 DLC characters all at once, and there’s some real bangers.
Instead of doing teasers and trickled announcements, they just released a trailer confirming Team Garou and Team South Town are back in action.
Team Garou is of course helmed by the highly-requested Rock Howard, who also leads off the new trailer by showcasing he still pulls many of his moves from his dads in Terry and Geese, but he’s still his own man too.
Gato is back with his third KOF appearance and the first time in 16 years the explosive martial artist gets his shot at the big stage again.
B. Jenet, meanwhile, has no qualms of ripping off her shoes and beating you with them after her flurry of lightning fast kicks — also her dress is now held up by anchors fittingly.
While we don’t get to see them in action yet, SNK did still show off a bit of the new designs Geese Howard, Billy Kane and Ryuji Yamazaki will be bringing to the table as the second round of DLC to hit KOF15.
Yamazaki apparently decided to pull his fluffy coat from Fatal Fury 3 out of the closet and dust it off for a nice beating in his next appearance.
Geese has also decided to dress like he’s about to have a fancy night out on the town by changing out of his martial arts attire in favor of his black suit.
Billy is classing it up for his boss too with an actual suit for one of the first times in real combat.
Team Garou will be the first to launch as part of Team Pass 1 starting sometime this March followed by Team South Town in May.
That’s not all fans have to look forward to in the near-ish future, as SNK also revealed Team Pass 2 will be dropping this summer with the third DLC team followed by a fourth and final on for 2022 in the fall.
