Bracketology: Kansas, UCLA among teams looking to improve seeding in regular-season finales – CBS Sports

With all of the favorites winning on Friday, there is no change to the bracket on Saturday morning. That will not be the case come Sunday, however. Every conference that is still playing regular-season games will play their final ones on Saturday, except the American Athletic Conference and the Big Ten, which finish up their regular-season slates on Sunday.

The first spot in the NCAA Tournament will be handed on Saturday when Murray State takes on Morehead State in the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament final. Murray State is likely in the NCAA Tournament even if it loses, so this is a potential bid-stealer situation. Bubble teams will be rooting hard for the Racers.

Nine other conference tournaments are in action today as well.

There are a handful of games above the bubble area that could impact seeding on Saturday

Alabama travels to LSU coming off another head-scratching loss. The Crimson Tide lost to Texas A&M at home on Wednesday and dropped a seed line. LSU has been struggling in general of late, having lost three of their last four.

Arkansas is one of the hottest teams in the country right how, but the Razorbacks will have a tough challenge at Tennessee. The Volunteers are undefeated at home this season, counting Arizona, Auburn and Kentucky among their victories.

Kansas will be playing its third game in five days when it hosts Texas in the regular-season finale for each team. The Jayhawks are trying to stay in contention for a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament while also clinching the top seed in the Big 12 tournament.

Baylor hosts Iowa State on Saturday with the Bears also in the hunt for No. 1 seeds in both tournaments. They need to win and get a loss from Kansas to get the top spot in the Big 12 tournament. Iowa State, meanwhile, is looking for its 10th Quad 1 win today. The only team with more is their opponent today, which has 12.

UCLA is at USC on Saturday as the Bruins look to split the season series between the two. The winner will be the second seed in the Pac-12 tournament as both look to improve their seeding in the NCAA Tournament.
