Something really cool just happened at the press conference introducing Shaheen Holloway as Seton Hall’s head coach.
Several of his his former players at Saint Peter’s are in attendance for the event and received a standing ovation.
NJ Advance Media’s Steve Politi: “When was the last time a head coach’s former team got a standing ovation — three, actually — at his introductory press conference? What a moment for Seton Hall and Saint Peter’s.”

Saint Peter’s enjoyed a magical March Madness run, advancing to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament as a 15-seed.
After losing, 69-49, to North Carolina in the East regional final on Sunday, Holloway’s arrival at Seton Hall was all but a done deal. He takes over for Kevin Willard, who left last week for Maryland.
On Thursday, before his press conference, Holloway tweeted a goodbye message to Saint Peter’s:

As for what’s next for the Peacocks, NJ Advance Media’s Adam Zagoria reports “Saint Peter’s is targeting @RutgersMBB asst Brandin Knight to replace Shaheen Holloway, per sources.”
