PMDG 737 for MSFS Pricing Revealed – FSElite

Following the news earlier today that the PMDG 737 for Microsoft Flight Simulator will be released on Monday 9th May, the pricing details have finally been shared. PMDG’s Robert Randazzo shared a detailed post on the forums giving us the final piece of the puzzle.

Robert has confirmed that the PMDG 737 for MSFS (the 737-700 model) will be available initially at a promotional price of $69.99. This will raise to $74.99 after the release of the 737-600 model.

On the matter of pricing, Robert also gave some expectations for what the future models will cost. The 737-700 and the 737-800 are “anticipated to be equal” in pricing and the 737-600 will cost approximately $50. At this time, the 737-900 does not have an anticipated price.

It’s important to note that these prices are subject to change.

As for possible bundles, it has been confirmed that PMDG does not anticipate any packages until at least mid-late 2023.

In terms of the store credit for those customers eligible, it’s worth noting that the credit will expire on 31DEC24. Only customers who purchased the PMDG 737NGXu on Prepar3D are entitled to the $99.99 credit. Remember this can be spent on any product in the PMDG store and can be used until the credit has ran out. So for example, if you buy the 737-700, you will have $30.00 left to spend on a future purchase (assuming you buy during the promotional price.

We do not anticipate pricing bundles or collection discounting until later in the product’s service life. Any bundling or combination discounting would likely not be enacted until mid-late 2023.

Time on Release Date?

Robert said that they hope to make the PMDG 737 for MSFS available between the hours of 1700Z and 2359Z on May 9th 2022.

Future Model Release Dates

We know that following the release of the 737-700 for Microsoft Flight Simulator, the additional body types will release approximately 6 weeks after each other. Next in the lineup is the 737-600, which has an estimated release date of June 20th 2022. Those wanting to have an idea when to expect the 737-800, then PMDG are estimating a release on August 1st 2022, before then releasing the 737-900 on September 12th. As this is software, the dates are “highly likely” to change.

Microsoft Flight Simulator Marketplace

The plan will be to make the 737-700 available through the Marketplace at a later date. The initial release on May 9th will be via PMDG’s store only. There’s no timeframe for when the product will be submitted to the Marketplace at this time, but PMDG said they are wanting to ensure that the product is as stable as possible first.

So there we go. We now know the price and release date/time for the 737-700 for Microsoft Flight Simulator. We’ll be sure to let you know once the plane goes live and you can spend $69.99 on the Boeing jet for the simulator.
