- Kansas is next on the NASCAR schedule as the AdventHealth 400 is set to run on Sunday, May 15th, 2022
- Several contenders are lurking out there including Ross Chastain, Kyle Larson, Denny Hamlin, and Kyle Busch.
- Below are the AdventHealth 400 odds and betting trends ahead of Sunday afternoon’s race.
NASCAR travels out to Kansas City, Kansas, for race number 13 of the 2022 season. The race comes from the Kansas Speedway. The favorites in the betting odds are some of the best and brightest at the 1.5-mile tri-oval track. Kyle Larson is favored this week with +600 odds in the NASCAR AdventHealth 400 odds. It does seem like another Hendrick and Gibbs could rumble here with a surprise Chevy or Ford.
This is one week after the Goodyear 400, where Joey Logano nudged William Byron out of the way to win at the track “too tough to tame”.
Let’s dig into these AdventHealth 400 odds and figure out which drivers are the best bets.

Odds as of May 12th at the Barstool Sportsbook.
NASCAR drivers will run on the 1.52-mile Kansas Speedway when the flag drops for the Sunday afternoon race beginning around 3:00 PM ET. This track banks at a 17-20 degree angle around turns, 9-11 degrees on the frontstretch, and five degrees on the backstretch.
Currently, Larson stands at +600 odds (+450 at Caesars). Teammate Chase Elliott lists at +800 (+700 at Caesars Sportsbook). Some shorter odds exist on Caesars Sportsbook, but every Hendricks Motorsports Racing driver is +1600 or shorter. The top three Joe Gibbs’ drivers are at +1000 or shorter as well.
Now, what occurs at the tri-oval on Sunday afternoon?
Reminder that Kyle Larson got his second win of 2021 on May 30th. https://t.co/V7tY5l0D4J

The idea is that Hendrick Motorsports is expected to do well again at Kansas. Can they deliver or will it be a surprise once again?

Can Kyle Busch or Denny Hamlin Win At Kansas Again?
Sports bettors have seen Kyle Busch remain mostly steady in the top-ten all season. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver still lingers in the NASCAR Cup Series odds and is fourth in the race odds (Hamlin is third). Furthermore, though Larson attracts more attention, Denny Hamlin has two wins in the past three seasons on the 1.5-mile track.
If Denny Hamlin can avoid bad luck which plagues him, he could be a force at Kansas!
Without a doubt top five contender at Las Vegas until he had drive train problems on pit road. Best Total Speed Ranking with speeds over the segment of 1,1,6 and then 3.

Now, some will argue a racer like Martin Truex Jr. (+1000) could sneak up and win this but Busch and Hamlin are the stronger candidates. This goes particularly for Hamlin as his speed intervals and lap loops have been incredibly fast.
AdventHealth 400 Predictions & Picks
This 1.52-mile track has seen Joe Gibbs (or Toyota) drivers win three of the past five Spring races. It is interesting the Fall version was dominated by Larson last year.
Ross Chastain has literally finished inside the top-three in half of the races this season, and he was in position to do it again at Darlington, until the car broke loose on the restart heading into the final stage of the race… Man. What a year so far. #NASCAR https://t.co/sPMzfc1BEq

The weather expects to be relatively tranquil on Sunday afternoon with temperatures in the middle 70s. The last thing to keep an eye on is drivers like Kevin Harvick (5 for the last 6 in top-tens) and Denny Hamlin. Their Kansas mastery has to be noted.
The stage format is 80-80-107 for laps. Overtime cannot be ruled out because of the Next-Gen car.
Here are our best bets:
- Top Pick: Denny Hamlin to Win (+850)
- Other Contenders: Kevin Harvick. (+1800), Ross Chastain (+1000), Kyle Busch (+900), Tyler Reddick (+1600)
- Longshots: Erik Jones (+3300), Kyle Busch (+4000)
