Porter ruled out for second half of Warriors-Grizzlies Game 5 – NBC Sports

Otto Porter Jr. has been ruled out for the rest of Game 5 of the Western Conference semifinals between the Warriors and Memphis Grizzlies due to right foot soreness.

The Warriors made the announcement shortly after the second half started at FedExForum on Wednesday night.

The Warriors played an abysmal first half and trailed 77-50 at halftime.

Porter played 12 minutes off the bench in the first half but didn’t have much of an impact, going scoreless on 0-of-3 from 3-point range. He committed two fouls and was a minus-8.

Aside from Game 5, Porter has been extremely effective against the Grizzlies, especially in Game 3 when he was a plus-30 in 24 minutes off the bench.

If the Warriors aren’t able to make a historic comeback in Game 5, they’ll have to hope that Porter is ready to go in Game 6 on Friday night at Chase Center.
