AMD Ryzen 7000 at 5.5 GHz
AMD demos its upcoming desktop Ryzen 7000 CPU.
The picture shows AMD Ryzen 7000 CPU running at 5520.3 MHz speed during a gameplay of Ghostwire: Toyko. Unfortunately we do not know if this is a single core frequency or if the CPU was overclocked (we will update this article soon). However, AMD already showcased its Ryzen 7000 CPU at CES 2022 running all-core 5 GHz, thus such a frequency for a single core wouldn’t be completely surprising, yet it’s even higher than rumored.

Officially, AMD Zen4 architecture will provide boost clocks over 5 GHz and over 15% single-thread uplift. Next-gen AM5 CPUs operate within 65W to 170W power range.
